MODEL: Sparkman & Stephens 65 Ketch Motor Sailer
Built by Derecktor Shipyard in Mamaroneck, NY, Hull #1813 was one of three S&S 65’s built. Derecktor was and remains, one of the pre-eminent shipyards in the world.
Commissioned by a New York businessman for offshore racing and family adventures. She was later taken to Seattle where she was moored in the fresh water of Lake Union. Her next adventure was in Lake Michigan and cruising the upper Great Lakes for 25 years, before becoming a Georgian Bay boat. The majority of her sailing was done in fresh water.
Experienced and knowledgeable owner is willing to assist buyer with orientation and delivery.
