1995 C&C30mkII XL $47,500 Cdn

    1995 C&C30 mkII XL

JUST ARRIVED IN ONTARIO: 1995 C&C 30mkII XL – Performance Cruiser in St. Catharines, Ontario

Breezeway Yachts is thrilled to present this exceptional 1995 C&C 30mkII XL, currently located in St. Catharines, Ontario. For sailors seeking the perfect harmony between exhilarating performance and comfortable cruising, this iconic Canadian-built racer-cruiser represents the pinnacle of the mid-sized performance class.

    The Heritage: C&C Yachts

C&C Yachts stands as one of the most revered names in North American production boatbuilding. Founded in 1969 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, by George Cuthbertson and George Cassian, the builder quickly came to define the "racer-cruiser" category.

Renowned for their cutting-edge engineering, C&C pioneered the use of cored hull construction, delivering exceptionally strong, lightweight, and rigid vessels. Their designs dominated the racing circuits of the 1970s and 80s while simultaneously offering beautifully appointed, seaworthy interiors that family cruisers loved.

By the 1990s, C&C refined their construction techniques even further, introducing advanced materials to push performance limits without sacrificing safety or luxury. Owning a C&C means stepping into a proud legacy of Canadian maritime craftsmanship, celebrated worldwide for high build quality, crisp handling, and timeless lines that continue to turn heads in any marina across the Great Lakes and beyond.

    The C&C 30mkII XL

The C&C 30mkII is widely considered one of the finest 30-foot sailboats ever designed, and the "XL" (Extra Light/Extended Performance)version is its ultimate evolution. Designed by Rob Ball, the 30mkII features a modern, fair hull shape and an optimized underwater profile. The XL package elevates this design to a true performance tier, featuring a Kevlar hybrid fabric construction for unmatched hull stiffness, a deeper lead bulb keel for enhanced righting moment, and an upgraded triple-spreader mastwith Navtec rod rigging.

Under sail, the 1995 C&C 30mkII XL is an absolute joy. It tracks beautifully, accelerates quickly in light air, and remains incredibly stable when the breeze pipes up. The deck layout is engineered for both shorthanded cruising and fully crewed club racing. All control lines are led aft to the cockpit through 10 Lewmar rope clutches, while a Harken traveller with a windward sheeting car and adjustable genoa lead cars offer precise sail trim right from the safety of the cockpit.

Step down the companionway, and the C&C 30mkII XL transforms into a remarkably spacious and elegant home afloat. Thanks to its generous 10' 6" beam, the interior feels like a much larger 32-to-34-foot vessel. Rich teak woodwork, a classic teak and holly cabin sole, and upgraded Ultra-Leather cushions create a warm, premium aesthetic. With a convertible main salon dinette, a private forward Vee berth, and a rare, fully enclosed double aft cabin, the layout comfortably sleeps up to six adults.

Cruising functionality is built into every corner of this vessel. The wrap-around galley features 12v refrigeration and a Force 10 propane stove with an oven, perfect for extended weekends on Lake Ontario. An aft head with an integrated wet locker provides practical comfort, while the walk-through transom and integrated flip-down boarding ladder make swimming or boarding from a dinghy effortless.

Whether you are hunting for silverware on the weekend racing circuit or pocket-cruising the Thousand Islands, this freshwater-kept C&C 30mkII XL delivers it all.
